Man shoots two people at Forsyth County home, then turns gun on self

FORSYTH COUNTY, N.C. – One man is dead and two others injured after a domestic-related shooting at a Forsyth County home on Saturday morning.

Kevin Shon McGuire, 39, shot and injured the two victims and then fatally shot himself, according to the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded to the incident at 2949 Mirasol Court in Walkertown at about 8:20 a.m. Saturday in reference to a reported shooting.

McGuire was pronounced dead at the scene, according to deputies. The two injured victims have been identified as 34-year-old Alisha Marie McGuire and Joshua Hamilton Curtis, 36, of King.

Alisha McGuire and Curtis were taken to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center by emergency responders. Deputies said they underwent surgery for injuries that do not appear to be life threatening.

Investigators believe Alisha McGuire issued a domestic violence protective order against Kevin McGuire, which was served to him at the home on Mirasol Court on Wednesday.

Kevin McGuire was then removed from the home and Alisha McGuire was awarded temporary possession of the residence, according to deputies.

On Saturday, Kevin McGuire allegedly returned to the home where he confronted the two victims. Deputies said an argument started and Kevin McGuire shot Alisha McGuire twice in her lower extremity and shot Curtis once in the abdomen. Kevin McGuire then fatally shot himself in the head.

His body has been taken to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center for a post mortem examination, according to deputies.

Kevin McGuire and Alisha McGuire are both listed as the owners of the Walkertown home, according to records.

The investigation is ongoing.
