UPDATE: Netflix is back online for users across the United States. Phew!
Netflix went down on Saturday night and people online didn’t handle it very well.
Just before 9:30 p.m. ET, Netflix customer support tweeted that they were aware of the issue and it would be handled as fast as possible.
“We are aware that some customers are seeing errors when visiting Netflix’s website and we are working to solve this as quickly as possible.”
According to DownDetector.com, the problem has been ongoing over the past few hours.
Around 10:30 p.m. ET, many users reported the service was coming back online. However, some are still reporting problems.
Many web users were greeted with a “technical difficulties” message while Apple TV and Chromecast users have reported the streaming service is working for them.
Outages have been reported in other countries including Switzerland, Argentina, and several others.
Netflix has not given the “all clear” yet.
